Start of Little League season delayed by coronavirus

Earlier this week, Lynn Valley Little League received an email from Little League Canada requesting a delay to the start of the 2020 baseball season due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in North America. At this point we aren’t sure how long this delay will be but are expecting mid-April at the earliest given the guidelines provided. However, this could change and further delays may occur. Hopefully we’ll have you on the field before the April 18th Bat-a-thon Day!

This is a tough time for everyone and we are pushing to get back on the field as soon as it is safe.  We will keep you posted as we learn more and when any decisions are made. We will be reaching out to Pub Night attendees separately as we will likely be moving the date to later in April or May.  Please be patient as we navigate these uncertain times.

In the meantime, there should be no official team practices or games. Opening Day will be postponed and the Bullpen spring break camps are cancelled.

Coaches: your division coordinators will reach out with specifics as to when practices can resume and to arrange equipment pickup.
